It's good. It develops lifelong learners to engage with community members who think critically and creatively and is a school that respects human differences in an increasingly diverse society.
I feel that the teachers genuinely care about the students. I would like to see some upgrades to the building.
I love Burlington High School because it is an inclusive environment and allows me to be myself without feeling restricted. It's a great environment to learn in as well because there's always teachers that are pushing me to do my best and offer me help. All around a great school with great faculty.
I liked the environment the activities the school offers. Really good teachers that care about the success of their students. And they treat all the students no matter the race and gender
Burlington High School has a diverse community that helps students push beyond their limits. Students here enjoy it very much.
Burlington High School is a very great school. They create safe learning environments and help and support all the students, so they can be successful. They accept everyone, no matter their religion, gender, race, ethnicity, or their cultural background.
At BHS there are many different kinds of people, but the social scene is very cliquey. There is a strong presence of townies who kind of run everything and get away with certain things as opposed to outsiders. However, there are still many good, educated, mature people, the teachers are generally helpful, and there are many resources.
Administration works hard to keep up with student events, however, the student council lacks when considering student body opinion. Moreover, there are many resources for students that are available such as computers, printers, a library, and help desk for students who do not have access to these resources otherwise.
I feel supported by most of my teachers and I feel as though they really care about teaching and getting students to learn.
I liked the range of classes available and the teachers were very helpful. I like that they have iPads for all the student, being up with the technology helped my experience. I wish they would update the school building, it's pretty old and could use some fixing up.
Burlington High School was wonderful. The teachers were consistently helpful and professional, the school environment was studious and motivated, and the student body was generally content and spirited. Although they could do a better job giving their students a voice in certain issues, on the whole, they make good decisions.
I loved Burlington High School! It was a friendly and welcoming environment. At Burlington High School you can be free to whoever you want to be and experience a overall great time.
Overall, the administration is poor and this is an average high school for your children. There is plenty of diversity but not enough support for students. There may even be a sense of racism from some of the administration members.
ups and downs in Burlington public schools. More ups that I can remember. One of the better school districts around the area.
I like how everyone is so inclusive and the school emphasizes that aspect. They pay attention to every student and make everything right.
Most of the Teachers are amazing and supportive. BHS had some problems with select teachers. I feel like money wasn’t always used properly or for student benefits.
I have concluded that Burlington High School represents one aspect of an overall good school system with good foundation to carry me forward in life and be successful. I had opportunity to enroll in challenging classes (multiple advanced placement classes with great test results) and participate in the Music program via Marching Band and Wind Ensemble (audition only). My connections via teachers, advisors and other students was invaluable.
