There are so many problems with the fact that the school is prominently white and have certain views on people. People who are anything other than white have heard all of the racist jokes and there should be some type of awareness for this type of stuff. However, the athletic department is great! There's a place for everyone in athletics, even if you aren't athletic. Some people are the managers instead of playing the actual sport.

Burleson High school, although not diverse, allows many opportunities for everyone, no matter the race or religion, to coincide. Many of my friends are either Mexican or White and they all have different religions. In addition, this high school has big energy in school spirit, creating a sense of excitement when it comes to extracurriculars such as the band and the football team. Both of these teams have recently began to coincide, especially the football team as they gifted a special football for the band in appreciation for the help during games.
Burleson High School is most known for their athletic programs, rather than their academics. This, in my opinion, is not a horrific thing due to sports holding Texans number one interest; although academics are more important in my eyes. Burleson High School is also not the most welcoming school peer-wise. Teachers, on the other hand, are very good at making sure everyone is included. One aspect I wish Burleson High School as a whole would improve on is communication. Although there is an email being sent out weekly, there is a lack of comfort in informative questions being answered.
