Burkburnett High School, overall, is a school that defines the culture and lifestyle of the small town of Burkburnett, Texas. The student body is extremely diverse in their desired path of study and extracurricular involvement alike. While some facilities like locker rooms and gymnasiums are not in the best condition currently, the administrators in charge of said facilities have worked effortlessly since I have attended this school to rebuild and improve the quality of our school in general. Academically, the school and staff provide countless resources to assist in both high school success and college readiness such as a vastly expanded library, an outstanding college readiness program and administrator, and teachers that support students, no matter what their educational intentions are. Burkburnett High School is not the perfect school, and it's small-town entrapment plays a big role in this, but the staff works with what they have to make the school it's best, no matter what.
I liked getting to know new people and build relationships. The people I went to high school with, I knew all the way back to elementary school. It’s cool to see that some of those people I developed a stronger connection to as I got into high school. I was apart of the marching band and girls soccer team. In those two clubs, I became friends with different people. It’s all about getting involved and making an effort to get to know people, in your comfort zone and outside as well. If I hadn’t made an effort, high school would have been quite lonely.
I love Burkburnett High School leaders and staff. I witnessed first hand their care and concern for my children!
I appreciate how they are always up to date on positive changed to help our children have the best learning experience.
