Burkburnett High School has allowed me to have many life experiences I wouldn’t want to have experience anywhere else. There are some teachers that go above and beyond just to make sure each student understands and is involve. So many teachers have a great sense of humor and make coming to school a little less of a burden. We have very dedicated coaches who try and make our teams the best they can possibly be (even if we don’t win all the time). The best part about of teachers might be the fact most of them allow you to eat snacks in class! That really helps keep students going and focused. If people were given the chance to pick a high school to go to I would definitely recommend mine. Of course every school has its down side, like not being able to go off campus for lunch, but our principal Mr. Morris does everything in his power to make sure all students are happy and ready to learn.

My high school experience has been great! The teachers are amazing! I always know that if I need someone to talk to or if I don’t understand an assignment that my teachers and other teachers on campus are available to help me. My high school has also been very great at keeping up with the technology craze. Every student has an iPad. Having the iPad has really helped with my education. For example writing research papers and essays have been a lot easier with the iPads. Students can do their research and write their essays whenever they have free time throughout the day and at home. My school experience has been great but there is one thing I would change that my school is lacking in, an orchestra program. The only music classes my school offers are choir, band, and guitar. My school does not have an orchestra which is what I play in. When I learned my school didn’t have an orchestra program I was very upset.
For the most part I enjoyed my time at Burkburnett High School, the administration cares a lot of about students who want to help themselves. Many students may feel that coming from a background of hardship and mistakes that it'll inhibit them from second chances, but fortunately a lot of the staff at our high school want to see students succeed and lower the statistic of high school dropouts. However, one thing I'd like to see change is the outreach and setup for student athletes. If possible, I'd hope that the coaching staff further helps students that are wanting to progress their athletic performances to the college level with division I-III universities with methods like assisting them in contacting college coaches or applying for AAU programs. This is something I wish to see transform Burkburnett High School in years to come...
