I attended 6th grade at Buford in 2012 and had a serious struggle, even as a decent student. All that I remember is the intense bullying that I underwent as a young kid of strong conviction. For refusing to partake in "middle school culture," I had a miserable school experience, and did not go back for the rest of my educational career. I did not feel that I could go to faculty, as they seemed to have little interest in the affairs of students, and had no mentors or role models in the whole of the middle school. While this reads as the rant of a bitter alum, even decades removed from this experience, I am still disappointed in the disregard of the faculty as to the bullying occurring within their walls.

The teachers are very nice they try there very best to make be a better learner. If you are new to the school then you will probably make tons of new friends. Just make sure that you listen to your teacher and don't bully people. Bullying is bad.
Unfortunately we experienced bullying by one teacher and students. When I asked a teacher (not the one who bullied) to help, he turned the situation to favor the bully, so we removed our student from the school. It is a much better experience for those who start Buford City Schools in kindergarten or who are children of teachers and staff. As in most schools it is easier for those who are popular and especially for those involved in sports. Football players and cheerleaders are kings and queens. The fine arts program is exceptional, so those children are usually well accepted.
