This upcoming school year I will be a senior at Buford High School and my overall experience has been incredible! I first joined Buford in 6th grade and my first impression was great, the students and faculty are so sweet and truly care about you; the buildings are always spotless thanks to the incredible custodial team; overall everyone is amazing. Along with that the teachers at Buford are truly passionate about what they do and care and check on students throughout the year. Also, academically the school is phenomenal. Personally, it has provided me thousands of opportunities that I have taken with no hesitation. In short, I think that Buford has very well prepared me for what the future holds in my career interest. Also just for fun, we have an incredible football team and Friday nights at Buford are truly amazing with all the support and laughter that goes around. Go Wolves!
I transferred to Buford in the middle of my sophomore year, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes, Buford has rigorous academics and you have to work hard to do well - but the teachers at Buford care about the success of their students, and they hold students accountable. The school district I came from didn't hold me accountable for late work or missing assignments, and Buford does. I like that because it's preparing me for the real world.
Buford is known for the 3-A's of excellence...academics, athletics, and arts. We have so many incredibly successful sports teams, our test scores are some of the best in the state, and our arts programs are amazing.
To top it all off, Buford High School is so much like a family. The students support, encourage, and accept one another, and the school and community spirit is unmatched. Yeah, there's clicks just like every school - but as someone who transferred in the middle of high school, I can honestly say Buford is the best!

Buford High School is one of the best high schools in Georgia for a variety of reasons. Many in Buford refer to it as a "college campus" due to its grandiose design, but more importantly, the school's "Triple-A Excellence" exceeds expectations. Buford High is the top AP school in Georgia, and it covers all costs for AP testing so that all students, regardless of socioeconomic background, can have a chance to excel academically and show their efforts. The high school's high-quality education extends to more than just its AP classes, however, as they pull from a pool of the best teachers in the nation, including the teachers of their numerous career tech pathways. Its arts offerings are also incredible, with a variety of theater, dance, and art classes, while the athletic programs are very competitive, with all but one team making it to their championship in the 2022 school year. Overall, an amazing experience. Go Wolves!
