Looking back at these past 4 years, I have really loved high school, which a lot of that is owed to BGHS itself. When you walk into school, there is always something going on to make the environment more positive, whether that means therapy dogs coming in during finals, decked out hallways during homecoming week, and so much more. Most of our staff are very supporting and want to make their students the most successful they can be. Safety is also a very large priority at our school, with having to show our IDs everyday when we walk into school and multiple police officers always on campus. On the other hand, I do feel our school pressures students to take on heavy course loads and as well as lots of extracurricular activities, which has led to a ton of stress-filled nights throughout the years. Overall, I do believe BGHS has given me the best high school education possible and I am proud to call myself a bison!

My experience at Buffalo Grove High School has been amazing. Over the past 4 years I have been able to join almost any clubs or sports I wanted to join. I played football for 2 years, one year on varsity and that was probably the best year of my high school career. I am also in investment club which has really made me decide that I love stocks and want to major in finance. Buffalo grove has a lot of classes that have helped me already get a leg up for college with college accounting and college business and the teachers are so helpful and understanding when it comes to academics and they do as much as they can to help you reach your goals. Buffalo grove is really an amazing school and I wouldn't trade my experience there for anything in the world
At Buffalo Grove High School, I am able to focus on my education while being able to truly be myself, without fear of bullying and harrassment. Something I was not able to do at my old school, where I was bullied for my sexuality and race. I have made some of the best friends I have ever had at this school, and have had nothing but support from peers. The teachers at Buffalo Grove High School, truly want to see you succeed and make a safe environment for all students, something I find crucial to a learning environment. Although, something I would like to see at Buffalo Grove High School is more diversity.
