Looking back at these past 4 years, I have really loved high school, which a lot of that is owed to BGHS itself. When you walk into school, there is always something going on to make the environment more positive, whether that means therapy dogs coming in during finals, decked out hallways during homecoming week, and so much more. Most of our staff are very supporting and want to make their students the most successful they can be. Safety is also a very large priority at our school, with having to show our IDs everyday when we walk into school and multiple police officers always on campus. On the other hand, I do feel our school pressures students to take on heavy course loads and as well as lots of extracurricular activities, which has led to a ton of stress-filled nights throughout the years. Overall, I do believe BGHS has given me the best high school education possible and I am proud to call myself a bison!

I love Buffalo Grove High School! The teachers are clearly trained and know their material very well! They always try to connect oth th students and be mentors to th kids as well as teachers. The staff constantly tries to promote school spirit and school togetherness! The school has a variety of sports and clubs, many of which are successful, but I do think some of the sports need to be promoted more. I would love to see larger crowds to support the variety of activities BGHS has.
My time at Buffalo Grove has been fairly positive. For the most part, teachers care about their students and will be willing to help you if you reach out for assistance. The school also has access to lots of resources, making necessary renovations and repairs, along with providing students iPads during their four years. They don't go above and beyond in many things, and a re fairly average when compared to other high schools in the area. Extracurricular activities, sports in particular, don't have very positive atmospheres. Most sports either require that you put the activity above everything else, including school work, or are so non-committal that nothing gets done. However, if you enjoy the sport or club, you're likely to consider it a good experience. Overall, the school does its best with the funds and resources it has access to and most students will have a positive experience.
