Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart Reviews
Rating 4.19 out of 5 185 reviews
My time at Sacred Heart Academy has been nothing short of amazing. The teachers genuinely care about the wellbeing of each of the students and strive for each student to be successful in and outside of the classroom. The teachers often attend sporting events to support our teams and are always willing to go out of their way to meet to discuss about the coursework and answer questions. There is an unlimited amount of opportunities that Sacred Heart has provided, and the community is welcoming and positive.
Teachers here fail to explain the classes; even fail to thoroughly teach at times. The administration is a clique and it is difficult to get a point across. Additionally,I really wish that the counseling services were better here; at a school with such a rigorous academic program students should be able to go to guidance to actually receive guidance on what to do/ assistance without contacting parents or informing administrators. SHA has very little diversity and it is hard to excel here as a minority. Also, there is a distinguished social hierarchy where many students find it hard to fit in. Sacred Heart has so much potential to be a terrific school yet the cons seem to out weight the pros.
I think that Sacred Heart is a really good school, and is excelling at preparing me for college. They have a good range of classes, too, so that everyone can have a schedule that can fit their desires and interests. However, I do think that it can be very stressful at times, and it feels like they put a lot of pressure on you. But if you have a good way to cope and deal with that stress, it’s a really good school to prepare you for the real world. They also have a great array o different extracurricular activities, so that anyone can come and have something to do. It is really a great place to adapt to everyone’s needs, wants, and skill levels.
