In my honest opinion, I believe Brusly High School is a great place for kids to go! The educators there care highly about the students education readiness for college, preparing them with a wide variety of programs that directly pin point what you need to know and learn about the student’s major of interest. I am Senior transferring from Ferriday High School I’m Ferriday, Louisiana. I was enrolled into Brusly High after the first semester and when I came, they welcomed me with open arms! The faculty is very helpful, the administration is lovely, and the school’s culture and diversity is unbelievable. The food is good, the school is very passionate on their sports, but absolutely praise academics to the fullest! Overall the school is wonderful.

The AP courses had amazing teachers who were passionate about their respective subjects and continuously encourages and communicates with students on an individual level. Some of the teachers created an open, fun, and immersive environment that was refreshing to me as a student who gets bored quickly. While the academics of Brusly High School were more than adequate, there is a very distinct lack of cultural diversity, foreign language acquisition/international studies related subjects- French and Spanish are the only languages and cultures studied- and diverse club/after school activities.
Brusly high school is the most positive, helpful, and generous environment to be in. Everyone is happy and willing to help anyone out of the kindness of their hearts. We have many extra curriculum classes and activities including beta, student council, the chess club, and my favorite the A-team. A- team was designed to help incoming freshmen get accommodated to the environment. Mentors are assigned two or three freshmen to get to know them, help them with any classes, show them their classes, or to just talk if they are uncomfortable about a situation or problem. This is a great way to get the freshmen out of their shells and to just let them know it is okay to be yourself at brusly high school. As A-team Is a great club to be in, the teachers and administrators are also such a big help and our students at brusly high show all of the appreciation we are able to give to them.
