Brother Martin prepares its students exceptionally well with challenging courses and a wide assortment of extracurricular activities. The community is truly one of love, as students from every walk of life are able to achieve their personal excellence and success. It is the best in the city in numerous categories, as the faculty is completely dedicated to supporting students inside and outside of the classroom. Resources like the Formation Center, where tutoring is available throughout the day, are available at all times.
The faculty goes the extra mile for all students to uphold their holistic view of a student that originated with its founders. Whatever your ambitions are in life, Brother Martin prepares you for life and college ahead while maintaining a fun, strong sense of community.

I went to Brother Martin High School directly from my middle school. Although I did have fun and make friends in my first year, that fun quickly started to diffuse as I progressed. When I became a junior, I started to grow a disdain for the school because of their strict policies towards behavior. Any normal 17 year-old would most likely have grown out their hair, painted their nails, or gotten ear piercings, but that would land you in trouble at Brother Martin. I learned of a public school, called Benjamin Franklin, which had better education, and it was seated on a college campus. If anything, I would recommend to send my kids there instead of Brother Martin.
There are some good teachers who really try to connect with the students; however, some teachers seem to avoid teaching or bonding with the students. I originally entered Brother Martin as a shy child who never talked in class. Around sophomore year my teachers began to force me to be more open and active in class. I really appreciate how those teachers encouraged me to better myself and become more confident. Although there were good teachers like those previously mentioned, I still had some teachers who assigned videos instead of teaching the subject themselves. Furthermore, some of these teachers refused to answer questions if they already answered the question once. I believe that their duty should be to repeat themselves if there are questions. Aside from the teachers, Brother Martin definitely prepared me academically for college. Every week we have prep classes for standardized tests. Additionally, Brother Martin provides a strong overall education, especially writing skills.
