I loved being a student at Brookwood! My favorite memories are from extracurricular activities and AP classes. As an active member of the marching band and literary magazine, I always had a way to express myself and connect with people who had common interests. The teachers leading these extracurricular activities were always fun and supportive. My AP teachers were the same, helping me reach my full potential by preparing me for college. Some students expressed that they were pressured to take AP classes that they weren't ready for, and since Brookwood prides itself on excellence, I can see that happening. Brookwood has a singular idea of excellence that doesn't allow for much individuality, such as deciding on a post-graduate path that is untraditional. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time at Brookwood High School.

Brookwood is a very diverse school with great educational opportunities. I am grateful that my parents moved us over to this district it a great community. The teachers for the most part are great and enjoy teaching. Students are pretty nice and welcoming. The counselors are great and really there for the students. The clubs and sports offered create great opportunities for students . One downfall is that we don't have pep rallies like other school. The music and arts programs are great! Orchestra program is amazing! Students have a lot of school spirit for our sports teams. The school is huge with a ton of students but the building looks nice and is functional. I loved my natural resource management (aquaponics) and peer leading classes were some of my favorite. I feel that I am prepared to leave Brookwood to go off to college due to the vigorous (AP, Honor and Gifted) classes.I honestly believe that Brookwood is a great school for students to spend their high school career.
Brookwood is different from any other school I've heard compared to the Gwinnett district. What I love about this school is the endless opportunities they offer. They provide many clubs and academics, especially the APs. They work every year to improve their school for the comfort of students. The school has shown off their records and not afraid to show their trophy display. (Which is kind of obnoxious but impressive to say the least) Additionally, administration can be both professional and friendly. They do what's best for students while befriends them at the same time. Brookwood is also known for their football. The students here have crazy spirit, I've never seen anything like it. The stadiums would be packed on those Friday nights. People would skip doing their homework or any other activity just to attend their games. The support is unreal here. Go Broncos!
