I love Brooklyn Tech! It has many great opportunities for students and it really opens up a path for each and every one of us, with different talents. The teachers and students are great, and the community, all in all, is fantastic! The tiny problem I have is that Brooklyn Tech is a huge high school and it takes me an hour to arrive to school from Queens. For me, personally, it was hard transitioning to a small middle school to a school with over 5,000 students! Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure many others see this as an advantage, since there are many leadership opportunities in the SGO. If I can, I would give this school a rating of 4.5 but a 4 is fine for now. Anyway, that sums up my 5 months of experience in Brooklyn Tech, although there is much more I want to talk about!
Brooklyn Technical High school is very academically inclined. Students strive to do well in school. They push themselves outside their comfort zones and take honors classes and advanced placement classes. They also get a glimpse of college life by choosing majors they want to study and taking classes based on that. This allows for students to have a variety of different classes to choose from. The school also offers multiple clubs and sports for students to participate in. Brooklyn tech is the home of some of the best teams in the city. By providing these extracurricular activities students get to enjoy themselves and get a little experience. Furthermore the students and teachers are very friendly which make the environment feel very safe and comfortable. The only downside about the high school is the terrible food, which only restricts them to the vending machines. But overall Brooklyn Technical high school is a great opportunity for students.
