Brooklyn Technical High School Reviews
Rating 3.92 out of 5 2,295 reviews
As a senior who will graduate from this school in June 2023, Brooklyn Tech offers a rigorous curriculum to students. In this school, students have the option to take majors that range from the humanities like Law and Society to STEM such as Architectural Engineering, Civil, Electrical, and more! I personally love this unique system and prepares students to be ready for real-world challenges with an approach to creativity and innovation. Aside from academics, however, this school is in dire need of instituting more facilities for students such as benches, chairs, student study lounges, multi-media centers, and more. I feel like there isn't much Brooklyn Tech is doing to acommodate its large student population of 6000 students during their free periods.
I've met many genuine people, both students and teachers who care about me and I care about them. Most teachers are some of the greatest people ever and do their job fantastically! Though the school may be tiny been uncoordinated at times, it is quite the unique one that I believe I am insanely lucky to be in. Perhaps in the future, I'd like to see more representation for the minorities of the very diverse student population. In fact, I am part of a club called the Hindu Students Council and one of our goals is to do exactly that and bring recognition to our religion and culture.
As a proud member of both the Mock Trial Team and the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Brooklyn Technical High School, my experience has been nothing short of transformative. Throughout my time at this esteemed institution, I have been privileged to witness firsthand the power of diversity and camaraderie. I felt welcomed, respected, and supported by my peers, regardless of their religious or cultural backgrounds. This tight-knit community allowed us to celebrate our identity while fostering an atmosphere of mutual understanding and acceptance among all students. Moreover, the school's commitment to extracurricular activities is commendable. Both the Mock Trial Team and the MSA received unwavering support from the administration, enabling us to participate in competitions and events. There were challenges along the way., balancing academic demands, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments required dedication and time management.
