I was never challenged at this school and ended up doing the online schooling they offered instead. The issue with this though is that I was never informed about any going ons at the school. I missed yearbook photos the past two years and wasn't told about the senior group photo that gets hung in the school. Most teachers don't care about anything and the ones that do are usually bullied by the students they teach. They did make accommodations for me at my graduation though as I am disabled physically. The bullying can be relentless though and fights frequently happen. The principal and biology teacher were the only two who really focused on me and helped as well as my algebra one teacher. During teacher shortages, we just sit in the library doing whatever. There isn't really much when this happens.
Most of the teachers there care a lot about students and make it a priority to help them succeed. Like any high school, there are some kids that still slip through the cracks. But recently the new superintendent of schools and Mr. Weppler have been doing a great job running the school and are getting the institution set back on the right track. Go Bruins!
I have made many friends in the band and theater programs. I have become part of many organizations and societies that have taught me so much. While I still deal with the things every teenager deals with (cliques, bullying, peer pressure, etc.), I wouldn't trade my experience at Brooke High School for anything else. There are always going to be ups and downs and I've had too much ups to regret the downs.
