I love that the school has all of their resources for us. I love that they offer college courses! Brockton High School has so many sports and clubs for students to participate in as well. I love that there is a lot of students with a variety of backgrounds and culture. Lastly, I do love how they offer a drivers Ed course after school! I do wish that the school would talk to freshmen’s and sophomores about our GPA that’s on a 5 point scale, and how it would look like when it’s converted to a 4 point scale.
Brockton High has been an amazing experience for me so far. There are just so many things to do! There is such versatility in classes, clubs, sports, extracurriculars, the arts, you name it. Like any school, BHS has its issues but I wouldn't go to any other school and I feel that the school offers as many resources as possible for students to be as successful as they choose to be.
I was pretty active academically and involved in dual sports. Though I was busy and engaged with a full scholastic active schedule, I was able to graduate with a 3.5 GPA; support and assistance from counselors ...and supporting staff was at times lacking. This in part is due to the large (1200) senior class enrollment! Getting lost in the shuffle and heavy demand of such a highly populated environment was at times overwhelming. However, the overall take away is Brockton High school offers a wide variety of sports, drama classes, extra curricular activities and academic clubs to accent any portfolio!
