British International School of Washington Reviews
The staff team works tirelessly to ensure the children have the best experience possible and there is a grreat community feel to the school.
Children are taught a variety of subjects and use a range of teaching techniques and technology to support student learning. Additionally, there are two school counsellors and a school nurse of site as there is a focus on children's emotional wellbeing and development - not just academic.
Staff at BISW are competent, kind, responsive and the school is well organized. Clear and constant communication from teachers and administrators is the norm. The curricula is strong and very focused on child literacy. My child is thriving.
As others have mentioned, the facilities are not grand, but given the small classes and school size they certainly make good use of the space. Classrooms are well appointed. A new gym being built.
I feel that there is PLENTY of racial and ethnic diversity, since BISW attracts embassy and international families. I’ve met people from all around the world.
