As parents, we are amazed by this school and their teachers. We were somewhat skeptical at the beginning, but after seeing the positive transition with our child and experiencing how the school teaches, we are very happy with our decision. Our son has a higher reading level than his peers. To ensure that he continues to thrive, the teachers work with him at his level and help him advance further than where he was at. With math, the school teaches him how to understand a problem from different approaches, not limited to the traditional way of repetition. They do a lot of collaboration in class. Our child is very shy, but he has connected with several good friends in no time. The school has many after-school activities that we sign him up for each day. His PE class also includes swimming lessons in the school building which is a plus as well. Overall, we would highly recommend this school!

This is a fantastic school! The campus is an amazing learning enviroment for my two children. The teachers are of a high quality, like all schools there are some that are phenomenal and give so much of themselves and there are others that don’t go as far but the quality of teaching, even from these, is still very high. There is a rich and diverse range of opportunities for both children outside of the classroom. The qualiity of Performing Arts production are especially high from thier major production to the smaller concerts. The school places my children at the center of the learning and this has increased thier self confidence, thier ability to reflect and their engagement in school. The other element of this school that can’t be over stated is the impact on my children growing up and learning alongside students from all across the world. The global awareness this has created in both my children has been amazing.
I visited BIS for a career event this year. My first impression was surprise and amazement at the size and scope of the facility - clean, contemporary, flooded with sunlight, it was crowded with eager young people scurrying from room to room. I was to advise upper-class students regarding their International Baccalaureate Program (IBP) sequence, a widely-adopted set of six subject groups (Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Activity, Service , and core communication skills through The Extended Essay). The combination of the building & grounds, the course of instruction, and the internal culture left a profound and positive impression. I know the greatest part of the learning journey takes place outside the classroom, but it starts at school; and BIS seems an excellent place from which to first embark.
