British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park Reviews
The academics are top notch and at par with some of the best schools globally. We've met a lot of really awesome parents through the community. They also have a variety of after school activities on campus for any special interests your kid has. They're academics focused, but also make sure kids can be kids
It's also follows the the IB curriculum, so a great choice for families that might move countries in the future. It's also fairly racially and culturally diverse.
Maybe one con is the lack of an outdoor play space, but I know it can be challenge in the city. The gym and indoor playground are great though.
The administration is organized. It’s not subject to the whims of a local board of trustees. It’s part of a global school system that is accountable to families in 30 countries. As a result, best practices move quickly.
At BISCLP, your child will encounter other children with a range of experiences. Plus parent socializing is also very good. I know it’s about the students, so this part is just a bonus. Each classroom has a social chair who plans events at least quarterly.
Lastly, the extra-curricular programming is sophisticated. There is room for a wide range of interests. We have been so happy at BISCLP and highly recommend it.
Teachers take a subject and teach all aspects of it by way of measurement, observation, discussion, writing and presentation. Students are equipped with all necessary tools and learn at their own pace/in their own way so as to foster original ways of thinking.
I can't say enough positive things about BISC Lincoln Park and highly recommend it!
