Our daughter came to BISB in middle school and was immediately welcomed and included by her peers – students who come from all over the world! She has been challenged by teachers who genuinely care about her growth as a student and as a person. Staff are warm and supportive. We are especially excited about the Int’l Baccalaureate program that will give her an incredibly rigorous and well-rounded preparation for college.

She has been able to explore new interests like Science Olympiad, drama, and basketball while continuing with her passions of sports (tennis and soccer) and creative writing. The athletic teams will never be Division I champs, but they field competitive, strong teams and teach teamwork and sportsmanship. We were lucky to have several top-notch school options for our daughter and are incredibly happy to have found BISB.

BISB offers an exceptional education! Through a spiraling curriculum, students deepen their knowledge from one year of study to the next. The students receive differentiated instruction and love the learning process. The school teaches all students how to be good to themselves and to others. I am awed by the talents of my daughter's teachers. My child is taught as an individual, as a pupil in her primary class, and as a member of the BISB community. It's a brilliant combination.
My son attended BISB for his final 2 years of high school.
Current and prospective parents must not assume that the school is doing what you would expect of it. Double check the details. Enthusiasm and honest desire of the teachers cannot substitute for a detailed understanding of the I.B.
Check the content of courses; the school offered an online course which required more collaboration than was possible. It also seemed to have misunderstood some of the more esoteric details of the extended essay aspect of the IB.
There was an inadequate knowledge of the UK university application process, particularly for Oxbridge applications. Accuracy of predicted grades are important, and some of these seemed to change without our knowledge.
Most teachers are conscientious and hard working. Our experience of the English and Maths depts was stellar. My decision to drop 2 stars is a combination of the factors described above, and a disappointing response from the school.
