My freshman and sophomore year were both pretty average in terms of academics and teachers. There were a couple classes I had where I had to teach myself the material. However, my junior and senior year I had a much better academic experience. Both of these years, I felt like my teachers personally cared about me and my success. The American Problems class was my favorite class I had at Brighton, with Mr. Hadfield being my favorite teacher by far.
I attended a few school dances, and all of them were a lot of fun! Brighton’s dances are definitely some of the best.
I’ve experienced a lot of Parking issues at Brighton. My junior year the principle allowed sophomores to park on campus, which filled the parking lot past capacity and made it very difficult to find parking some days. My senior year the parking lot was way too small and the administration was not tough enough on parking violators- making the parking lot cramped and dangerous.

As A member of student government in the senior class president, I definitely got a unique perspective on my school. Student involvement was very difficult to initiate and there are obvious cliques within the social spectrum of Brighton High. Although the social aspect may not be the best, the teachers at Brighton are very caring and love their jobs. I also see a lot of passion within the administration which I think is very rare in a public high school. The school is being completely remodeled which was very needed; and the bathrooms and even hallways were very problematic during my senior year. Overall, I had a good high school experience. High school is what you make of it!
Brighton High School provided a large and impressive selection of courses to take, although some were disappointing. Honors and AP courses seemed to be a lot more structured and focused, where as regular classes were off track and sporadic. Science classes were extraordinary and very well taught. Brighton also had amazing and uplifting clubs to participate in that played a large role in the school as a whole. I would like to see the diversity and cleanliness improve most of all. Opportunities seem to be unfair throughout students at the school. The administration was not helpful what so ever and didn't seem to care of the well being of the students. My number one complaint was the bathrooms and drinking fountains. The bathrooms were often extremely dirty and most of the time not supplied with soap, female products, nor hand towels. The high school has a toxic environment and temperature in the building is usually very cold or very hot.
