Brentwood School Reviews
Rating 4.22 out of 5 88 reviews
I love Brentwood! It has opportunities to thrive in whatever way works for you. If you are an athlete, you can play your sport. If you are an artist, you can create masterpieces. If you’re a debater, like me, you can go debate. Every person is able to find the path that works for them. Not only can students thrive individually, Brentwood creates a strong sense of community. Students and faculty alike always cheer each other on. We have awesome community events from September Splash to weekly football games to keep us all connected.
Average school, excellent in some ways, horrible in others. Food is fat asf, I drank coke every day for a year going to this school, and I'm literally gonna die because it's so easy to eat unhealthy. School culture sucks and it's natural to be rude and bully. Surprisingly it isn't diverse at all, all around, they have good facilities but bad practice, also they found a swastika on campus a few months ago.
I graduated but did not have a good experience in my time at Brentwood School. Started there in middle school and finished high school. I liked some of my teachers and they cared about students but some were just lazy and weren't always helpful. It's hard to fit in because there's lots of privileged kids/families and if you're like a scholarship kid or a minority, it's like your classmates and the school don't care as much about you. Lots of focus on wealth. The administration doesn't act in a fair and impartial manner towards students. There was an issue that brought up discussions about race, and we wanted the school to dedicate real time to these discussions, but they went overboard and we were all forced to do this "community time" every single week. Or they're just inconsistent when it comes to honor board issues. Also there's a lot of competition among all the students and too much cheating. I'm glad I am in college now and have moved on from Brentwood.
