Brentwood Academy is an amazing school. The teachers truly care about the students, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to help students succeed in the classroom. The English and drama departments are excellent! BA doesn't have the strongest administration and changes do need to be made in order for the school to continue to be one of the best schools in the state. Overall, I highly recommend Brentwood Academy.

Sure most the faculty is nice and some students are nice(though a good number feel entitled and a bit rude half of the time) but the amount of money they try to extract from every family is nowhere near worth the education that their children are getting. Math is average, science is good, technology is average though the programs are a little below, fine arts are mostly good, and English is very good but overall it just does not feel like it’s worth the price. The uniforms are a flop, no more to it. College counseling appeals only to those who want to stay in the south which is appalling as the only prestigious school that comes to mind in the region of focus is Vanderbilt. There is a reason the enrollment rate is dropping and the administration is looking at the wrong solutions to their problems. As a current headmaster roll student, I can say that though Brentwood Academy has its fair share of issues, it is still a viable school though caution is recommended.
As an Alum (2013) I enjoyed every single aspect of my time at Brentwood Academy. I was challenged Academically, Athletically, and grew Spiritually. As an African American man, I also felt completely safe and taken care of during my time there. The authentic relationships cultivated from my teachers & coaches will always be with me wherever I go. BA is the best choice for a Christian Based, College-prep education in Tennessee.
