Breck is an amazing school! The community is so welcoming and the teachers all always very helpful. Community is one of our core values at Breck and it shows. After a visit to Breck, many perspective students say that the thing they enjoyed the most was how welcoming, open and kind everybody was. While Breck can be challenging at times, your advisors, teachers, and other students are always there to help you every step of the way and guide your path to success. I’ve gone to Breck for a long time and I would never want to go anywhere else! They offer so many cool classes like ceramics, photography, many sports, and tons of AP classes that your teachers will help you get into no matter what. If you’re still deciding whether or not to go to Breck, there are many open houses and programs that you can attend to give you more information, and I would 10/10 recommend!

Pretty standard high school... Likes to bill itself as being something special, and most students and parents seem to buy it. In truth, you could get a similar education at pretty much any of the other top private schools in the area. The real issue that Breck has is with their administration. With some exceptions, the top administrators are all rather hopeless at their jobs, completely incapable of connecting effectively with the school, and try to simply rest on the traditions that preceded them. Following the termination of our last, very capable head of school, there has been a swift decline in pro-Breck sentiment around the halls, and rightfully so. As you go down the totem pole to teachers and administration working more closely with students, the quality skyrockets, earning three stars despite the serious flaws.
I have been at Breck since 3rd grade now and I have to tell you that it is an all-around great school! The teachers are 99% helpful and I have only had one teacher that I was not a huge fan of. When people ask me: “Who is your favorite teacher?” I honestly cannot give an answer and when I do, I keep changing it. Overall, Breck is an amazing school and I am very grateful to have to have the opportunity to be a part of their community.
