We currently have 2 children ages 6 & 8 at the Lower School. We couldn't be happier with the Teachers, Administration, Volunteers, and total Community at BCA! Our Kindergartener started reading at 5 years of age after entering the start of the school year not knowing all the letters or sounds. Our 2nd Grader is excelling at reading, math, and takes piano offered at the school! The teacher to student ratio is unmatched and the BCA community is personal, available, and supportive. My children's favorite time of the day (besides recess) is bible study. They cannot get enough of the stories! Teachers are able to give their personal attention to those who need it. If you are looking for a school with small class sizes, challenging curriculum, and a culture that nurtures being a good person and doing good for humanity BCA is your school.
As a parent of two graduates and one current student, I can't articulate how wonderful BCA is. From elementary school through high school, my children have received a top-quality education in an environment that encourages them to grow in their faith! We LOVE the teachers and the community!!
BCA enabled our young daughter to reach her full potential in school. During her first four years at our local elementary school, our daughter lagged well behind her peers in learning to read. She felt like she was stupid. I held many meetings with the learning specialists at the school, but no answers were given. At fifth grade, we placed our daughter at BCA. Within two months, the educators at BCA told us that our daughter likely had dyslexia, and recommended testing and participation in a specialized tutoring program. This tutoring, combined with BCA's small class sizes and highly involved teachers made all the difference. Our daughter's self-esteem improved, and she felt like she was very smart and capable. By the time she got to high school, our daughter was earning high honors. She graduated BCA with an A.P. Capstone diploma and was accepted into a very competitive college where she is thriving. Thank you BCA for helping our special girl succeed in school and life!
