I liked the pep rally's they had once a week, and the 2D animation Magnet program that they offered. What I wished they changed is offering the time to take surveys about their experience with the professors, so that they may inform the school about how they are feeling. In my senior year, I had a very bad animation professor who knew nothing about the subject and kept putting all of us down. All my classmates went directly to the principal's office to inform them about our issues and sadly it has not been addressed for the whole year, however the issue has been resolved eventually after we graduated. It's reasons like these why I recommend schools to give students the time to take a short survey on how their professors are and see what they are doing right, and how they can improve to prevent anything bad in the future. My other teachers were great though!
Great school, new building, lots of different programs! Good community! I’m my years of attending Brackenridge I have seen the school grow and develop into a beautiful community, they offer early college, culinary, cosmetology and Media and film. They offer a variety of extra curriculars that are beneficial.
Throughout my High School experience I got to meet some of my closes friends, have a heart-to-heart with a teacher every year, and became the captain of the swim team and a track manager. Brackenridge is a very relax school, no one really cares where you are from and is overall very accepting. We do have our fair shares of Rebels, Slackers, Hot Cheeto Girls, and even the F-Boys, although what school doesn't. The teachers have the determination that each of their students can make a difference in life. By taking Dual Credit classes I had to challenge myself if making time for my friends, family, school, but most importantly, myself. Overall, what I can take out of this is that you can make a difference has long as you believe that you can. You can strive to be the better version of yourself that you thought you could never achieve. And that in the end, the only person that will stop you from achieving that you want is YOU.
