I enjoy Boyden-Hull because the teachers really care about students as individuals and they focus on not only bettering their students ,but bettering themselves. Teachers emphasize on preparing students for life after high school and set students up for success in the future.
This school is a fairly average school. How ever there is a large focus on athletics, and other school activities like Debate Club and Quiz Bowl, are very much neglected. this extend to the class rooms where many of the teachers are also coaches. It can very obviously be seen that the students who have the coaches as teacher have a much stronger relationship with the teacher which can prompt what seems like favoritism from many of the teachers. This can lead to any of the students who are not in sports programs to suffer in there school work. This schools focus on athletics also causes there to be a lack of funding to many of the schools classes, such as Chemistry, Biology, Shop, and Home Ec as well. While the other school in town has a award wining robotics club, no such clubs or opportunities will be found at this school.
The academic system is very good. It challenges students and you always learn something new everyday.
