Many people will look at Boyd Anderson as a “ghetto” school, or a school that won’t get you anywhere . Truth is, being someone that went here for all four years of high school, coming here is going to be one of the most memorable moments of your life. Down to music and games during lunch, homecoming, the teachers that you can easily bond with, and most importantly the students . This school’s spirit has gone up tremendously as well. You’ll love the bus rides to playoff basketball games in Miami! This school is definitely recommended if you want to both have fun and have a good learning experience !

Boyd H. Anderson High School is a very diverse school. It contains people of various backgrounds, whether culturally, religiously or nationally. The school has a variety of programs to ensure the success of students: Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), Advancement Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and Health and Wellness. The school also has a YMCA program which provides students with extracurricular activities such as Key Club, Mentoring Tomorrows Leader, Youth In Government, Cultural Club, etc.
While the school has so many great programs, the school is currently working towards uplifting the school sprit as well as testing scores.
This high school has an amazing magnet program and great learning experience. The health and wellness program really helped me in choosing my career pathway. Some teachers are not very nice which makes it really hard to learn but others are very fun, understanding and knowledgeable. The school definitely could use a bit of school spirit though. It was hard getting students to participate in pep rallies and themed events so the lack of participation made the events boring. The sporting events were nice. Never really watched the games but those were great spots for my friends and I to hang out. The school definitely needs some improvements but I am glad that I got to attend.
