My experience at Bowie was probably one of my best school years. The teachers at this school really connect with their students helping them strive for greatness, having their kids break out their comfort zones when it comes to learning new things in the curriculum. Also, with being in sports the teachers hold you to a higher standard and they look at you for role models to other kids. Also, I would like to highlight the AVID program. Many schools don't have this program in many schools, but Bowie does. Their program helps with college readiness, and it definitely helped me with my current years of college. Bowie is definitely a school for your child, and it is just an overall good school!
The Bowie High School experience is very interesting, the teaching quality is not the best and it is to be expected that many students are failing due to such aspects. The students as well are to be at fault because none pay attention nor spend any time interacting or even attempting to understand the material at hand. Instead, this is subsequently substituted with horseplay and idiocy. Not only that, but the hallways are filled with individuals skipping or in general not in their classes or even attempting to spend the proper time receiving education that they came there to get.
I believe with all this in mind, the general quality and environment within Bowie High School is very depriving and makes individuals less likely to succeed within academics. The only good thing is the P-Tech program of which sprouts creativity, innovation, and lots of great minds to succeed. The P-Tech Program makes up the top class ranks thereby proving this point.

Overall, Bowie is a generally diverse school. I started with this prospect as it's one of the critical factors as to why it's so enjoyable being there. The interactions with one and another exceed almost the sociality found in university life with near people of all backgrounds being present. Bowie hones on this concept and thus funds various organizations highlighting the majority of ethnicities. The resources are sufficient as well as the other extracurricular activities, although the involvement of many of the staff is lacking. Many educators simply rely on videos without addressing the class at all. There are few far and in between that present these actions.
