    Boulder Country Day School Reviews

I have experienced several private schools in Boulder and BCD is in a league of its own. The kids are HAPPY at BCD through a combination of caring and involved leaders and teachers, strong community environment, good academic challenges, and ability to individuate. They communicate and hold clear parameters while being loving and accepting - no small feat! I couldn't be more impressed with this school and the experience my children are having.

I have one child in middle school and one in elementary school at BCD. They have very different personalities and learning styles. And yet, BCD helps them both to thrive.

BCD is truly exceptional. Everything from the teachers and administrators, to the level of communication, to the other parents and families at the school -- every aspect of Boulder Country Day is amazing.

I didn't think it was possible to care as much as the teachers and administrators do at BCD. They're thoughtful, kind, compassionate, and smart. There is a strong math, science, reading, and language presence throughout the campus. Our very young daughter can sing in French already!

Dropoffs are fun and easy. The hours are great. Super creative afterschool classes - I'm an especially big fan of the messy art and cooking! There’s a very simple-to-use meal delivery service for lunches. School parties foster the fun side of meeting other parents, weekly assemblies bring everyone together.

Switching to BCD was one of the best choices we've made. It affects our lives in a positive way every single day and is a truly a gem in Boulder.
Upon visiting BCD for the first time I fell in love with the campus, the students, the curriculum and the faculty.

Furthermore I was impressed by the atmosphere of each classroom environment pre-school through 8th grade. I was greeted by children in almost every grade during my walk around tour that offered their name and a short blurb about what they were focusing on in class.

Susan Boyl (Director of Admissions and Marketing) was kind, caring, professionals and genuine in her explanation and passion for children’s care and education.

I have witnessed the head of school (John Suitor) helping daily in car line and connecting with the children. He is friendly, caring, kind and exudes care and love for what he does and for BCD as a place where children feel safe and supported.

While I believe that every child does not fit every school model I do believe that BCD does everything it can to make every child reach their full potential.
