I love my school! I'm in the Finance magnet here so I was able to get plugged in really easily. There is a wide variety of opportunities to get involved and a rich spirit of tradition and community. I've loved all my teachers for the most part, and all the faculty really helps students to succeed! I will say that the facilities are sub-par; it's never fun to hear horror stories about the rodents creeping around, or to go into a bathroom with broken facilities (clean though!). Overall though, I would not pick any other high school. GO BRAVES!
Review Boone High School
I liked that there was a diverse population. The school was very accepting and welcoming to everyone. I also liked that there was always events and ways to meet new people. Clubs, sporting events, dances, and so much more. It was a great highschool experience!
It is a really good school, education wise. The majority of the staff is amazing and they have some of the best teachers, including Dr. Tachon who has about a 90% passing rate for AP Calculus exams and Mr. Daniel who has about a 98% passing rate for AP Macro and Micro exams. However, my senior year of High school there was plenty of hate going on. Including the homosexual comments, RACIST comments, and comments like, "Women belong in the Kitchen." These happen all over schools but it has been a little extra at Boone lately. Although, at Boone there was not many physical fights, there was never a reason to feel unsafe. There was just lots of hate comments and judgement if you weren't a heterosexual, white male.
