Spending almost four years at Bonita Vista High School I have experienced all there is to offer here. Academic wise, this school is great! Most teachers here are passionate about their jobs and are willing to put in extra time to help their student understand a subject or topic, I feel prepared to go into college and start the next part of my life. As for sports, our school does fairly decent. I personally wrestle, play lacrosse and both sports are funded well. My biggest concern for the school though, is the infrastructure. Bonita Vista High is an old school and due to this, many of the buildings are old and small. While other High Schools in our area have a stadium and track field, Bonita has a dirt track with some bleachers. But, despite all this school spirit remains strong and I am proud to attend Bonita, GO BARONS!

Having the IB program at Bonita Vista High School allows for a better education at the school, however, as our school has many negative aspects. First off, our school lacks funding for many of our programs causing an inability to get the programs running and ensure their success. In addition to the lack of funding for our extra curricular programs, this lack of funding transfers into the classroom as teachers are unable to provide students with proper materials that would allow a student to gain an excellent education. Looking at our school administration they fails to prevent violence that occurred between students and there is no action when it comes to students vaping or abusing drugs in the restrooms. Through the inaction of our administration and lacking proper funding, students are being prevented from receiving a proper education that every student should be able to receive no matter what school they attend.
