Love this school! They care about their kids and make sure they are a top notch school! I also love that it is kindergarten through 8th grade for consistency purposes.
I am a former student at Bonita Springs Charter School. Some of the teachers were very kind, such as the music teacher Keith Cute. However, amazing teachers are the minority at this school. But teachers are NOT the main problem with this school. The building is packed, the lunch is poor, the sports are virtually nonexistent (we did not even have a gym), and there is no school culture. This school forces the idea of the 7 (and later 8) habits into the children's minds. This is borderline manipulation, forcing the kids to live by these habits, know them in and out, and apply them to anything. Most Alum of this school do not have good things to say. Some of the teachers are AMAZING and deserve to be at a better school.
It is a small charter school, so the kids are all know. Parents have to do a lot if your kids are involved in sports or after school activities (driving to/from). Middle School teachers, for the most part, are good and care about the students. The school has been working on more class levels, so if your student isn't in the Cambridge program and does well, they have the opportunity to advance in Math and English.
