Bonita is a great high school, with wonderful faculty and teachers. I always felt safe on campus and everyone seemed invested in my learning and wanted to see me succeed. There are many unique opportunities that only Bonita offers, and I truly developed as a student and as a person. Sporting events are always exciting and everyone always has a tremendous about of spirit and school pride. It is a smaller campus so over the years you get to know everyone, and not only did I meet great lifelong friends, but also some special teachers who have been mentors to me. I would say that one area that could be improved upon is how they prepare students for college applications. Overall Bonita is a great school, and I had a wonderful learning experience throughout my four years as a Bearcat!

Bonita High School is a very good school for the area. In terms of academics and athletics, there are many AP classes and sports offered. However, if you are not at the top of your class in terms of GPA, you will not receive the best education. The AP class teachers are much higher quality than the regular class teachers and often those without AP classes get the short end of the stick. In terms of extracurriculars, the choir program at Bonita High School is nationally recognized. The 2 top choirs perform for Disneyland's Candlelight Processional nearly every year, have performed at Carnegie Hall multiple times, and consistently wins the highest ratings in choir competitions. The environment around Bonita (La Verne) is really safe and students whose GPA's meet a certain benchmark are allowed to have an hour long lunch as opposed to 30 minutes. Overall, Bonita is a very good school with many academic opportunities, but it has some shortcomings if you do not take advantage of them.
I enjoy Bonita High School. I enjoy being there because there is always people you can connect and relate to. The academics offered are great, some teachers are great while some aren't the best, or even try in that matter. They offer plenty of challenging courses throughout your years at Bonita such as the APEX program for freshman and summer classes you can take to advance ahead to take more AP classes your sophomore year. There are many more to choose your junior and senior year. The staff is great and there are many sports offered including swim, football, soccer, and etc. The senior project that they give senior year known as the P.A.C.E project is a downer. With many things to do during one's senior year, the school simply gives the seniors another thing to worry about the entire year. It's simply a waste of time, if you do not do it, you cannot graduate. It is frustrating because I already have things to worry my senior year and the P.A.C.E project just adds onto it.
