Bluffton High School has been a enriching educational experience. The athletic program is exceptional, producing many gifted athletes. The school comradery is unlike you would experience at any high school. The administration is always available to speak with no matter what the problem may be. When the town of Bluffton expanded to the point where it was necessary to build a second high school in the area it was heartbreaking to realize that the peers you have attended school with your whole life might be going to May River High School instead of Bluffton High School. However the motto of our school is together we will! We have made it through the transition and it has made our school stronger.

The school had a southern charm about it. It was a diverse school, and was equal to every student. However, some classes at Bluffton were a waste of a time, and were more like social hour, then for learning. My Spanish class was a joke, I learned nothing from three years of Spanish in Highschool, and know I am Sophomore in college barely escaping with a C in my Spanish classes. Instead of focusing on uniforms, and the tiny thing, classes should be the main focus. We are in school to learn and it is important to prepare students for college. Bluffton did not prepare me education wise for college. However, it did teach me to be excepting of others, and treat everybody equal!
I really enjoy the social aspect of my school. From what I experienced, the students are fairly inclusive and there aren't many cliques. I would like to see my school's uniform policy change because while I understand that most schools follow a dress code, the staff at my school tend to take things a bit too seriously. For example, administrators will come by occasionally and take up class time checking for kids out of uniform, and if you are out of dress code you get sent out of class until a parent brings you a change of clothes, which further hinders your academic success.
