At Blue Valley Northwest High School every student has the opportunity to become part of a diverse and caring family. The staff dedicate themselves to the students success, always working hard to ensure that every student is learning and advancing to the best of their ability. I have had the opportunity to meet and become friends with people of different ethnic backgrounds allowing me to make deep connections with people my age while learning about different cultures. Never have I found myself without educational aid or extracurricular opportunities. Northwest emits a friendly, family-like atmosphere that turns a school into a community.

This a wonderful school in all areas, from strong academics to excellent extracurricular opportunities. There is a heavy focus on student life outside of the classroom and how students can use different methods to achieve success throughout their four years of attendance. The only reason this amazing school is not receiving 5 stars is because of a new trend that is starting to occur, one where there is a growing disconnect between student ideas/leadership and the administration. There is growing agitation with changes to once great traditions, like school dances and spirit week. However, new innovative changes have also made great, lasting impacts.
My experience at Blue Valley Northwest has been amazing. The whole staff wants each student to succeed with whatever they decide to do with their lives. It is paperwork that every teacher in the school loves what they do. They love the opportunity to shape young minds and inspire future generations. What I would like to see changes about it is the stigma that Blue Valley Northwest is where the “rich kids” go. Not everyone who attends this school comes from an affluent family, and the want for kids to fill that stigma in my opinion causes such high depression, low self esteem, and suicide rates. Nevertheless, Blue Valley Northwest is a great place to receive a great education.
