At Blue Valley North High School, I feel as if the culture of the student body has truly stood out to me. Whether it was in support of our sports teams or dealing with the difficulty of life as a high school student, we always have each others backs. Teachers show genuine concern for their students alongside true passion for the subject they teach. If I could change anything, I would implement more mandatory classes that taught life skills such as filing taxes and buying homes or cars. Overall, I loved my experience so far and can't wait to finish out my high school career here!

Simply put, Blue Valley North High School ("BVN")is the #1 high school in the state of Kansas. This blue-ribbon award-winning high school boasts the highest test scores and academic achievements in the state. Coupled with outstanding extracurricular opportunities and programs designed to meet virtually any set of interests, this school is second to none. I would humbly suggest that in fact, BVN is higher ranked than Blue Valley High School (part of the same Blue Valley Unified School District) which is currently ranked in this forum as the #1 school in the state. Let the fact-checking begin. Truly either offers an excellent education and incredible college preparedness, but BVN is truly #1!
Overall, attending Blue Valley North was a great experience for me. I had so many great teachers, my favorite being my yearbook teacher. Being a part of the yearbook staff at BVN was an amazing learning experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Student culture at North is friendly, as people constantly say hi to me as I'm walking in the hallway. North really prepared me for college as the counselors provided accessible resources to help with applications and the whole process, and they frequently offered their help by speaking in front of many of my classes. I think North's culture is very competitive and thus stressful at times just because it's such an academically excellent school, and teachers can sometimes do more to take the pressure off.
