I loved my high school experience. I loved my teachers and school. The teachers are educated and they actually care for their students. I became close with many of my teachers. BSS has a reputation of good academic standing and I thought it was an amazing place to learn. I dove and cheer'd for the high school team. I absolutely loved diving and my experience all four years but I couldn't say the same for cheerleading because of my coach. In school, we talked a lot about diversity, and other things that aren't normally talked about that can be uncomfortable, like mental health. I thought the mental health discussions were very important and it was awesome that it was finally being talked about! The anatomy class I took with Dr. Norman is what got me ready for my college classes and for that I am so thankful. I wouldn't have been able to do as good my first semester of college without Dr. Norman! I am so lucky and proud to say: once a jag, always a jag!

Blue Springs South is an amazing school! I love the teacher-student relationships and the relationships between students themselves. This school has an outstanding music program between band, orchestra, and choir. Blue Springs South holds a record of being the school with the most 1 ratings at Missouri State Solo and Ensemble. The JROTC program has received the Extinguished Unit with Merit Award - inspectors came to the school to observe the program and reported no discrepancies from the program, instructors, or cadets.
I love Blue Springs South High School because it is full of culture and diversity. The admins over at the high school contact students one on one and they are ready to do anything for the kids. The facility is amazing and another freshman wing is being built. The sports teams are competitive and very fun and entertaining. I love how the academics are challenging and how they teach you amazing lessons! Blue Springs South High School is an amazing high school!
