One of the best high schools in Indiana! I had an amazing experience as a student here. There are a lot of opportunities to take high level classes and get engaged with the school through the many clubs and sports offered. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of all the resources this school has to offer. Build relationships with your teachers and classmates to have the ultimate high school experience. Don't be afraid to branch out and figure out what you like because this school makes it easy to find and pursue what you're passionate about.

I am a parent of a incoming senior at Bloomington High School South. It has been a fantastic years so far for my son. The teachers are academically supportive. The students have healthy competition, academically. It is cool to be smart at Bloomington High School South. However, students can also shine in other ways besides academics. There are excellent art and music programs and classes. Songs of South is an award winning show choir. The sports teams are often the top in the state. My son has had an excellent experience as a runner on both the cross country and track teams. The coach has helped the boys become physically and mentally strong. There are also several service groups in the school, including dance marathon, which raises money for Riley Children's Hospital. Overall, Bloomington High School South is a supportive, challenging high school in a unique and interesting community
BHSS was such a fun place to attend. There were many valuable resources for academic help built into everyone's schedule. The teachers are all kind, good at their job, and keeping up with the latest memes. The diverse population led to numerous kinds of clubs from Harry Potter Club, Asian Culture Club, and even a HAM Radio Club. If there was one thing I could change about the school, it would be working on more eco-friendly facilities and supplies. We have one "green" restroom, however a great project would be to have all our restrooms helping to save the planet too. In terms of food, healthier and more inclusive lunch choices would be appreciated throughout the student population.
