As a current student, I appreciate very much the cultural diversity, although yes it is predominantly Hispanic. It is a very welcoming campus, with multiple clubs and opportunities to grow and learn something new. Teachers are pretty lenient, some more than others, but all are in their own way ready to help each student who seeks it. I do hope that the school buildings get improved, for its highly needed after so many years of use. I also do hope that the school system become better and prioritizing its funds for textbooks ( books in general) as well as the arts and classes that were once offered. The school arts have such amazing opportunities and leaders, it just needs a few more hands and a bit more funding to use in the many interests of students. So far, Bloomington has come a long way keeping its doors open for over 50 years.

I enjoyed my time at BHS. I was involved in a lot of clubs and events at school an worked very hard to do well academically. I took several AP and Honors classes to challenge myself and most of my teachers were very helpful to me. My math teachers were the most encouraging towards me, helping me understand concepts and allowing me to teach others who needed help as well. I think this high school is one of the best academically within the Colton District, regardless of its physical appearance.
I enjoyed the music department of Bloomington very very much. I am a member of the Bloomington High School Chamber Choir. We have a lot of fun, while still doing a lot of studying and work on our songs and music theory. Choir has been the highlight of my high school years. The teachers there are mostly great. Some are not the best, but that is to be expected at just about every school. Not everything can be perfect. The counselors are especially great giving you the help and aid you need whenever you ask them. My schedule has been fixed perfectly many times by the counselors and their remind system connects to student emails. This gives helpful college tips and info to all students, especially seniors. The AVID program is great, helping us apply to the colleges and scholarships we need to be successful. The activities like rallies are just okay, and not too special. But the sports games and choir/band concerts are fun to watch and give school spirit.
