My overall experience at Bloomingdale high school was great. Never had any major issues maintained straight A's throughout my career. Which is a testament to the teachers at Bloomingdale high school who are without question the highlight of the school. I always felt I could get the help that I needed with my teachers and I own a lot of my success in high school to them. I didn't have to go to guidance much throughout my high school career but when I did the it was always got the information I needed regarding scholarships, schedules, or whatever else I needed. Mr. Martino was my guidance counselor and he was awesome. Sports were great in my time at Bloomingdale with our football team being the best they had ever been in the history of the school. I played ice hockey through my four years at Bloomingdale and it was certainly a blast all the way through. I believe Bloomingdale is a great school not a perfect school but my overall experience was great.
I have loved my four years at Bloomingdale. It has a very diverse student population that is melded together by a strong sense of school spirit. The teachers truly care about their students and are willing to do anything to provide them with the best learning experience. The guidance staff also supports students in everything they can throughout all four years. They conference with students individually, guiding them through choosing AP, Dual Enrollment, Honors, and Regular courses and helping them make plans specific to each student to ensure the best possible education plan. The staff is always concerned about every students' success, as well as, their overall high school experience. In addition, Bloomingdale has so much to offer. There is always an opportunity to get involved whether it be sports, music, school-sponsored events, or clubs. Overall, this school has helped me create some of my most valuable memories and life lessons.
For starters, Bloomingdale High School is a pretty average school. The academics is excellent for a public high school and the school itself is mediocre. I would say that in the recent years the school itself has been very dedicated to their sports and music programs. I would say the teachers and staff are very friendly, although there may be a few who are not as dedicated as the others, but the environment of the school makes up for that. Notably, something the school could better improve on is its overall student involvement because I feel there are not as much fun experiences to participate in like unlike other schools.
