I loved my experience at Blair High School. They made sure that I could be involved in anything that I wanted. They had plenty of things to choose from too! The music program is great, and so are the sports programs.

Things that I would like to see changed are some better food, a little better preparation for college, and maybe a little bit of an update to the facilities.

My personal experience with attending Blair High School was phenomenal. The whole school system is very welcoming to every student who attends. All students of all interests have a place to go. They have a musical program where everyone is included no matter what and all sports allow every student to have a spot on the team. There are several clubs such as FBLA, FFA, Culinary Club, Spanish Club, and many others that also except anyone who wishes to feel a part of something. Blair High School not only makes it so everyone can participate in a passion of theirs, but they also encourage their students to participate. Having a majority of their students in activities definitely reflects their high academic gains. Since a majority or Blair High School students participate in some form of an activity, it encourages their students to want to come to school and do well in their school work so they can participate in these fun activities.
Overall I enjoyed my time as a student at Blair. I was part of the Blair school system for all 13 years of my pre-collegiate education. While not the best school for academics, this school does a decent job of catering to honors students and fostering a competitive environment. Clubs/sports, while Blair is not the most successful in them, are an integral part of the school. I always felt safe here as well. The students on average are kind & responsible, much more than larger schools nearby. The administration is pretty good, & does a good job of supporting all extracurriculars & all students. I will add that the counselors are horrible. They pick favorites and did not help me at all in my college decision process. They seemed to have very little faith in me as a student. The teachers themselves however made up for this and seemed genuinely concerned with the success & well being of their students, & used their classes to help prepare us for college.
