Blackshear Elementary School

An intentional focus on building relationships and character education/core values has resulted in a positive school culture with happy and emotionally intelligent students! Every student participates in daily community circles to connect with staff and classmates. Blackshear intentionally focuses on community partnerships and community service and on strong partnerships with parents and families. Innovative academics including a blended learning model in PK-5 has resulted in advanced growth and achievement in the areas of math, reading, writing, and science. Blackshear has been awarded over $175,000 of grants including a Technology Lending grant from TEA, two Klein Education Foundations grants for $25,000 each, and an additional STEM grant.
