Blackman is overall a very caring and diverse school. The elementary, middle, and high schools are all closely connected and makes sure everyone feels welcomed!
I have attended this high school for all four years and I have loved it. The teachers are very intelligent and all have a way of connecting to their students. I have felt it is a welcoming environment from the teachers; however, parts of the student body have been known to be exclusive. I would rate my experience here overall 5 stars. The athletics, music, and theatre programs have always been extraordinary and have exceeded the expectations of me and my family. It is an amazing school with lots of incredible students and teachers. Growing and learning in such a well known school was an amazing experience, in such a competitive school you are pushed to do better and achieve better for yourself.
I am overall pleased with the education I received from Blackman High. I also enjoy participating in the various clubs and organizations offered there. I would say that the art class I took was very limiting creativity- wise. I am a part of the Blackman Collegiate Academy at Blackman, and this program has helped me become more prepared for college by having me conduct a capstone project that included researching a topic that I want to study in University, creating a community project based on the research, and presenting my results to a panel of judges. I stepped out of my comfort zone, connected with new people, and learned so much from this experience.
