My daughter Fatima Jackson, c/o 2015, graduated from Winston-Salem State University on May 10th, and she did very well! This is a testament to the fantastic teachers of Bishop McNamara HS in Forestville, MD. I want to send special kudos to English teacher, Ms. Wolf.
Ms. Wolf advised the parents that the second half of the school year, the assignments would be on the college level. Fatima began her college journey well prepared for college English.
Currently, Fatima is a student at Wake Forest Business School. She is in an accelerated program, and will graduate with a Master's Degree in only 10 months.

As you can image I am very VERY proud of my daughter. I'm sure that the vigorous academic program Bishop McNamara provided contributed to Fatima's successful undergrad education, and her admission to Wake Forest Grad School.

Great administration, student body, parents, and community overall! My son feels at hom. He is thriving academically as well as socially. The teachers here are truly committed to ensuring their students receive a well rounded education.
I really enjoyed my time at high school. As a freshmen coming to the school knowing no one I found it extremely easy to make friends. Everyone was super welcoming and made sure that I was taken care of. Even though certain sports teams aren’t the best, our Fine Arts programs and Academics are one of the best; our African Dance performed on National television, our band and choir perform at DisneyWorld. Clubs and activities are also a huge part of our school community. We have stuff from Aviation Club and Adventure Club all the way to the Yoga Club and Theologians Club, since we are a Catholic school. Overall, McNamara does have it’s up and downs like strict dress code and rules, but within those constraints, we are still a fun, lively community.
