Bishop McLaughlin has been an incredible journey for my daughter as a freshman, especially during the Covid-19 situation. The school was completely prepared for the situation and ready to transition the students immediately. The teachers were always available via phone, zoom or conference call. Even the guidance counselors offered support quickly and effectively. I still feel my child got the education we paid for even though she wasn’t physically in the school. Her grades actually increased via the online learning. We can not wait to get back to the school in brick and mortar form next year and return to the traditional schooling as my daughter loves all her teachers, the counselors and especially loves the office manager Debra who is always laid back and down to earth with the students and a neutral party They feel they can go to for ANYTHING at anytime without judgement. I would highly recommend Bishop McLaughlin as the best Catholic high school in the greater Tampa area!
My daughter is currently a sophomore at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School & she nor I, can imagine her being anywhere else.
Bishop McLaughlin is not only a school but a family, the administration & staff take pride in what they do & truly care for the students as if they were their own. The school’s Principal, Mrs. Jowanna, is an asset to the school; she is always available to the parents & students alike. Mr. LeGendre, the school’s Assistant Principal & Mrs. Beth Sylvester, Director of Marketing & Advancement, are priceless! The teachers in this school are truly an amazing group of individuals that give the kids not only a plethora of knowledge but understanding, faith & care.
When it came time to decide what high school my daughter was to attend, it was an easy choice.

This is an amazing school. We transferred to Bishop from the local, oversubscribed public high school because my daughter was falling through the cracks. She got caught up with a bad crowd and was leaving campus. None of the staff even noticed she left. At Bishop all the faculty and staff know her name, they ask how she's doing and care about the response, they even notice if she's late for class. this attention has changed her completely. She's engaged, has made friends, and she does her homework because she wants to keep up with her classmates. She looks forward to school now. Thank you Bishop!
