Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Reviews
Great school with excellent academics and a fantastic faculty that truly cares about their students. College prep is excellent and I sincerely enjoyed my four years at Bishop McGuinness. I highly recommend this school to any prospective students. The school has a great culture and most of the students there are academically motivated and want to succeed in high school, college, and life. I also felt extremely safe on campus and never felt like I was in any kind of danger. Student safety is a top priority at Bishop McGuinness.
I enjoyed my four year at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. The community was small, allowing me to adopt strong relationships with my peers and teachers. I appreciate the fact that the teachers made a point to prepare us for the college experience by teaching us to take notes diligently, how to compile a resume, and emphasize spelling and grammar. It would have been more beneficial to me if we had been able to take concurrent classes for college credits and if there had been more AP class opportunities. I also wish there had been a greater emphasis on math and science classes and that they would have offered a physics course. The religious aspect of the school was integral to adopting good values, morals and respect for others as well as oneself. I enjoyed the monthly masses and religion classes, however they should have made more of an effort to teach sex education.
What I love most about Bishop McGuinness are the amazing teachers, the helpful counselors, and our caring principal. I’m grateful to these individuals for their unconditional support and the exceptional experience they provide that strengthen my faith. Overall, I’ve grown close to God ever since I started here because of the testimonies of my classmates and of the teachers that inspire me to never give up and to love others. At Bishop McGuinness, I’m part of a community of good values and abundant kindness. Additionally, at Bishop McGuinness I get to do things I love, like attending mass and praying. Bishop McGuinness has also helped me find myself and provided an opportunity for a better future for myself and my family through an exceptional education. I only have two suggestions for change, which are starting program that would help Hispanic student for whom English is their second language to do homework, and creating a Hispanic club so everyone could learn about our culture.
