Bishop Manogue Catholic High School stands as an exceptional college preparatory institution, seamlessly blending academic excellence with a commitment to holistic student development. With a rigorous curriculum, dedicated faculty, and a nurturing environment, the school not only imparts knowledge but also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and ethical values. The emphasis on character formation and service cultivates well-rounded individuals, preparing students not only for the challenges of higher education but also instilling a sense of social responsibility. Bishop Manogue's unwavering dedication to academic rigor, spiritual growth, and community engagement makes it a standout choice for students seeking a comprehensive and transformative college preparatory experience.
Bishop Manogue offered me a lot of opportunities to challenge myself. I participated in the Kairos retreat program as a student and a leader, Miner Ministry, the Minor Men(torship) program, I was part of the Northern Region Champion Football team and I was selected by the football coaching staff for the "Miner" Award for excellence, awarded to only two players on the team. I challenged myself with difficult math courses and I am part of the Miner TV team, broadcasting short videos and news through the school, daily. This class especially, is a stepping stone for me and my desire to pursue communications in college. I want to be involved in sports communications after college.
As a Bishop Manogue legacy myself I have been connected through this community my entire life. I have seen the school through many perspectives and every one has been positive. At Manogue everyone is considered family. I was born in Reno but had to move when I was 7 for my dads job, but 8 years later at the age of 15 I had to move back to Reno and start over at Manogue. I was terrified on my first day of school not knowing anyone, but that day I met so many nice, welcoming people. It was a weight off my shoulders to know that Manogue was so loving. The biggest thing at Manogue would be the community, that no one is alone and everyone is welcomed. l The academics are outstanding, there are many extracurriculars that are offered at Manogue. Along with the core classes I am currently in Engineering honors, it is such an exciting class that pushes me.
