Bishop Machebeuf High School Reviews
Rating 3.87 out of 5 133 reviews
Machebeuf is a beautiful, faith-filled, culturally diverse, and dynamically Catholic educational institution. There was a lot of staff turnover during the time I was at Machebeuf, which made things difficult at times, but it all worked out because the staff is absolutely fantastic. If you want faculty and staff who desire to form you into the man or woman who God made you to be, who want to pray with you and have a personal relationship with you, and who want to push you toward academic and personal excellence, Machebeuf can be the place for you. The student community often feels more like family, and student life became increasingly vibrant during the 4 years I was at BMHS. There’s many clubs and trips and sports that make student life beautiful and worth being involved in— I’ll give a personal shoutout to Pro Life Club and Spanish Club, because they’re awesome! The education is definitely rigorous but valuable, and homework seemed overwhelming at times, but it was worth it. Come!
My son graduated from Bishop Machebeuf last spring. He attended all four years of high school there after a public school education from K-8. There were some transitions in the school after his freshman year, so I'm mostly just reviewing the current version, which is what you'd be looking at.
My son had a great experience. Having a small school allowed him to flourish, make friends, play sports, attend every event and he had a great time in high school. Machebeuf is an extremely diverse private school which is definitely a rarity, but they do diversity right and all the kids there, regardless of their background are working hard and contributing to the school.
My son is not the strongest student but used his time at Machebeuf to improve and he was very successful with college applications getting into 14 out of 14 universities he applied to. BMHS is a quality diploma.
Worth mentioning that there are non-Catholics there. If you like the small, quality and personal, check it out.

Machebeuf gives a well-rounded education from studying the great books to having the opportunity to take life-changing spirituality classes. The faculty and staff truly care for each student and are always open and willing to help and listen. Machebeuf is a close community of faculty, staff, and students who look up to each other. My experience at Machebeuf has changed my spiritual life into something great and I can never be more grateful.
