Bishop Machebeuf High School very different than traditional high schools. It is very strong in its education in the faith and strives to make their students well rounded individuals who are ready for college. Their academics are not easy, but teachers are able to work individually with students due to the small class sizes, making it easy for every student to thrive academically. Machebeuf is set apart by both their classical track option for students and their house system. While the classical track gives students a very unique educational opportunity, the house system has truly failed and comes off as more condescending than anything else and does not succeed in its goal to create community for students. Despite this, the school has a very nurturing and diverse community that really sets up the student for success.

It used to be a good, genuinely Catholic school. However, over time it seems to be going downhill and is mismanaged by the admin. Teachers are also leaving at a really high rate. However, I still have hope for this school that it can truly be genuinely Catholic againa nd they can pull it back together. In my first year I felt I was getting a good Catholic education without many worries, but I’m not sure I can say my sibling is getting the same thing. I had a great experience here at the beginning though
Bishop Machebeuf, being a substantially small community, opened up many opportunities for me, and for that i am grateful. Although, Machebeuf is not in any way a bad academic school, it was flawed. Some academic depatments were very lacking while other academic departments shinned. I am gratful for the community and support Machebeuf has provided for me but i dont believe it prepared me well enough.
