The academics are really great and prepare you for college, but the school has a couple issues regarding administration. Overall it focuses entirely too much on athletics and caters heavily to athletic programs over the arts. The administration is pushing a "professional environment" so heavily it forgets that students are actually children who need to discover and express themselves but cannot with such strict rules. Other issues are typical of Catholic schools; focus on religiosity without question within required Theology classes, overly conservative environment, homophobia, etc.
That being said, even within programs not enforced by the school, it is easy to find supportive groups for every kind of person. The school really does prepare you for college.

I loved my four year experience at BL. The teachers were very helpful and all of my friends were amazing! BL is changing though and with all the newness it did make the generic things a little more confusing, but nothing a high school student couldn't handle.
Bishop Lynch High School is a very diverse school, all with very supportive teachers and staff (especially your counselors). The students are all very engaging depending on the subject, activity, or sport. What I love about the school is the yearly improvement of the resources and facilities (software and technology). My experience was full of hardships, but with the support of friendly students and coaches/teachers, they help bring out the best in my academic and physical capabilities. On the other hand, what I believe should be changed is the passing period, which is only, seven minutes that is not enough time to get through the always crowded hallways. Another change would be some, not all, of the newly recruited teachers because their behavior (insulting) is very much different from what the adults say. For the teachers that have to remain with Bishop Lynch for the longest time are one of the coolest and funniest teachers I've met so far.
