Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is a warming, family like school. It is very welcoming as soon as you come in! There is also a very good support system whether its the friends you make at the school or even the staff members. As a Junior transfer into this school, I highly recommend coming here for high school.
Loughlin has excellent academics, advance placement, performing arts, and sports programs taught by a supportive, resourceful and well-meaning faculty and staff. In addition. Besides the academics, we have a vast amount of clubs, work-study programs, and extracurricular activities available to us. We also have an international travel and learning program. There is never a boring moment at Loughlin. We enter to learn, we leave to serve. We have a house system divided into groups named after great saints and rôle models. The purpose of it is to learn the art of self-governance in a democratic way. During this weekly assembly, students take the opportunity to vent and express themselves in a nonjudgmental environment, come up with solutions and vote. Students cannot strive in a toxic atmosphere because bullying is not tolerated. It is easy to make friends at Loughlin. Prayer and service is a plus, they contribute to self-love and character
A proud 1970 graduate, I can attest the excellent quality education offered at Loughlin. High academic excellence, Catholic principles, outstanding athletic programs and appreciation of the arts are offered here. With a wonderful and active alumni, the purple and gold tradition continues. Loughlin was a positive influence in my life. Thousands of proud graduates will agree!
