The Loughlin Experience began on A special day in September 1959. I was 14 and beginning a dream came true... I’m a Loughlin Student! Brooklyn Tech’s loss was BLMHS’s gain. The years went by and being surrounded by all these bright scholarship winners was humbling. The attachment to this place has never wained. The 25th reunion in 88 brought back the gratitude I had for this life changing institution. My 50th in 2013 and 55th this past year furthered my love for the one place where I felt truly a part. The building whispers the decades of students whose dreams were made true thanks to the dedicated faculty and staff. As I finish my 50th year as a college professor I only hope that I have created the same feelings of love for education Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School has given me!
Not only was the education first class, but Loughlin life elevated each student to recognize the worth and value of every individual, through the teaching philosophy of the Christian Brothers and faculty. These values serve me well into the 50+ years since my graduation. I am proud to be an alumni and will continue to share my memories and the Loughlin tradition!
