Bishop loughlin along with its diversity, is a well school and environment for children as they are more than involved in school. This school has many activities from performing arts to educational programs that are great! The one thing I love most is it feels like home. I am involved in school and it’s great. There are many opportunities that each of us are exposed to that can most definitely help us in our near future.

I can say that overall I enjoyed my time st Loughlin. As far as extracurriculars the school excels, there are a plethora of dance teams and the music program teaches people with no previous experience a great skill. Students become very close to their teachers and faculty who for the most part are nice. The only complaint I have is that the academics are average, there are not many AP class offerings and no IB classes. The only area the schools excels would be science, there are 2 state of the art science labs stocked with equipment (an engineering and a medical lab). Besides this the school is average on the academic front and does not do SAT prep, hence the low testing scores. It is a safe school, and the area is amazing, easy to access by public transportation, and the students do go off to college but no one is being sent to Stanford.
I currently attend Loughlin, CO ‘19, and I can say Loughlin is different. The opportunities that are presented are definitely different from other schools. Student participation is a big part on how the school is ran, so the voice of the students is heard. We have a fantastic music/ peroforming arts program, participating in the NYC Marathon every year. We have a house system which is very unique. It allows the grades to mix so that it creates more of a community feel.
