Loved this school overall. Teachers are great with students and helped them prepare for their future. Great experience with BG! I felt welcomed everyday and academics pushed me to my best. BG is a great school to attend.
I believe that this school is very good. I used to go to a public school, but once I transferred over to this private school I saw a lot of change in my academics. The teachers here are amazing and will take the time to help you with anything you may be struggling with. Transferring from a public school to a private, there were many different changes, especially academic wise. Academics here are a lot more advanced than what I experienced at the public schools I had gone to. I would recommend this school to anyone with an interest and are looking to better their education.
Bishop Garrigan was a smaller school which allowed you to create personal relationships with everyone involved with the school from students to faculty.
Bishop Garrigan is a small Catholic School in North Central Iowa that has attracted students for 60 years in a multitude of demographics and distances. It excels academically and is able to develop students through Faith Immersion in weekly Masses, Prayer services, Rosaries, Stations of the Cross, Service, Etc and highly successful extra-curricular programs. It is a 3-12 and we average about 37 students a grade. We are inclusive as we have added many non-Catholics in recent years.
I loved Bishop Garrigan. The small classes made learning easier and everyone in high school was close. The teachers are all amazing and made class a lot of fun. No two days are the same at Garrigan!
I really liked the relationships with he teachers that each and every student had. I also like that small classes because you got to know more people. Also things that could change are, the school lunches.
Everyone is very passionate about their jobs, therefore they are very helpful when it comes to the principal, guidance counselor and office staff.
There are many extracurricular activities at Bishop Garrigan. There are a variety of activities that fit everyone's needs! They have sport organizations and academic clubs and organizations as well.
Bishop Garrigan does a great job of keeping bullying out of the school and out of the community.
I think that this school could have done a better job at preparing us for college, for example, they could have created more difficult tests.
I think that my experience at Bishop Garrigan High School was excellent. Since the school is so small it creates a unique bond between faculty and staff. I also believe that another thing that makes our school unique is our involvement in religion.
