Bishop Dwenger is very good with academics. I graduated feeling very prepared for college. On the other hand, administration is too strict. It’s easy to get suspended and they get easily irritated. There’s not much room for fun unless you play football. The school has been celebrating the state win from 2018 throughout the entire year and overlook other programs. Administration looks to punish students rather than to build them up. They go to great lengths to try to make an example out of students. It’s a very political school and if you don’t come from a family with money they overlook you. Administration catered to faculty constantly and treated their students like they’re in the fifth grade. Administration ruined my four years of high school for me.

I believe that the education experience has declined ever since the established use of 1:1 computers in the classroom, seeing as teachers assign projects without explanation or interaction other than through a screen. However, there are several teachers who do engage students with activities, notes, powerpoints, and use the computers in fun, innovative, interactive ways such as Kahoot, Peardeck, and more. I think that they offer a variety of classes which is a nice option for students who have already contemplated and chosen their career path. They also provide many different clubs and resources before and after school. Bishop Dwenger is very college-driven and preparatory and I think that is one of their best strong suits.
It is a great school with great teachers. I would not go to any other school if I had the chance. It has a ton of clubs that you can do and it involves everyone. No one should feel left out at this school. Everyone is so friendly and they get you ready for college, everyone has manners and knows how to act! The teachers are very involved with everything and Christ is involved with everything.
